Doing a few touch ups on the Mach 1 and I ordered side marker gaskets and a pack of speed nuts that came with some soft black rubber washers. I need to know the sequence or order they go in.
I I recall correctly the rubber inserts should be in the nuts when the worker grabbed them out of the bin and put them in their holders located/wrapped around their waist
Metal bezel then - lamp housing then- gasket were sandwiched together and inserted into the hole from the exterior of the quarter panels and the nuts were treaded on each stud from the inside/backside
Pictures from the unrestored picture thread section of the site showing the rear mounted ones
Notice that for some reason the upper taillight nuts on the top example have sealant (which serves no real purpose that I can see)- yes I realize that its off topic but don't expect the discussion to take off. And if it does we'll split it
If your focusing on the front marker light then you will also have a wire retainer you will need to consider also that is held in place by the forward nut on both sides. You didn't include
where and when your car was built so don't know how much of the details int he picture below apply but the example is a late Dearborn 69. Details often differ if your car was built during a different time period or plant
