I used standard (non stainless) from The Right Stuff out of Westerville Ohio.  I would give them a 4.5/5 star rating. The rear axle line was a little long and I had to tweak it to make it look respectable.   The fuel line was similar, specifically where it crosses over near the power steering slave cylinder bracket.  Tweaking was carefully closing down or opening up bends without kinking the line.  The other lines had no issues.    I think we really need to here from someone that does a couple a year and has experience from different suppliers.   If we don’t get that response I would say to use them, realizing that you should expect that, like most reproductions, tweaking should be expected.

Thanks for your feedback.

I was half tempted to use my originals as templates or flare new fittings onto them too.

Hopefully others have good or better experience with other vendors.

Regardless of Fine Lines or the Right Stuff like most reproductions, tweaking should be expected.Just my experience.

]I just remembered a 67 brake line early late thing. The brake line cross's over the top of the steering column for cars built before February and the line going under the column after February.

Build date of 3/2/67 on my SJ car, going over.

Any thoughts on condition of this ORIGINAL line? (note the crimp damage at the pen)... such as keeping it (as-is)? ...reworking it? ...new fittings? ...use as a template & build my own? (I have quite a lot of experience bending and duplicating tubing here in the rust belt).

The other RS rear axle brake tube is soaking to remove rusting on the spiral protector, tubing looks about the same throughout the car.

I have never been satisfied in reworking old lines. As for making them from scratch IMHO you would be better off tweaking one that is close.

Another SJ car 7R01C189xxx coincidentally also born on 3/2/67 3/6/67 (06C) also shows its brake lines above the column.
Once again, SJ marches to its own drummer.

Since the catalogs tend to specify 2/1/67 as the break over to the lines going under perhaps a survey is in order?

[Update post for a later date after I put the painted tag under better lighting.]

Thank you Marty for your feedback and words of experience. My larger concern is ONLY that it seems every single time I have replaced any item on this car, I one day regretted that decision. Putting these back on would be my preference ONLY because it is "Only original once"! (not sure where I heard this... ::) )

I will clean these up anyways, perhaps becoming a wall flower of sorts...They are in my opinion in very usable condition as-is.

The original lines are very useful in checking the new ones and making adjustment. So many people dissemble the car and just disguard everything they intend to replace. Once it is gone it is gone. I never disguard anything until it has been replaced and installed on the car, even then sometimes I put it away.

Do these kits offer the very short 90* fitting at the rear (1967 D/B) proportioning valve?

You need braille to make out some of the kit's pieces.

I usually throw nothing away.
However, at last tally I easily lost 3k in stuff that I either lost or threw away.
It appears mouse pee and poop is no reason to throw stuff away when it's VERY hard to find replacements.

Now where did that P/B connector go?

Corrected my previous post to update the date of the "over the steering column" routing of brake line on the parts car.
It's even later!

My 67 Dearborn, disc brake, 3/2/67 built car has the brake lines over the column, tunnel run brake/fuel lines, with rear valve.  The 2/1/67 build date change that Inline Tube has listed in their online catalog is not correct. Ask me how I found out.  ::)
