70 taillight buckets

Ive got a couple sets of  original tail light buckets Ive saved and some are plated inside and out  and some are painted white on the inside? any insight of this?

I have a number of these and they are all painted inside.

+1 , I just checked the ones off my car and a pair of NOS assemblies and they aare both painted white inside ....
