Would anyone happen to have a picture of what my differential should look like. I know housing is red and dif is semi gloss black but I’d like to see snubber bracket ext. and possibly paint marks from factory. Thanks.
Sure you meant to write that in reverse
Don't typically keep many pictures of restored cars since you often have to crop out incorrect details or photoshop them and in general they aren't good for documentation but have a few. And if we just copy, we don't didcover anything new.
Since you didn't mention it the third member would have a number of fresh machined surfaces. The sunken ring on the face of the pinion retainer as well as these bottom ones. Fill plug would be unpainted.
Housing would be painted semi-gloss black except for the surface where the gasket for the third member would sit and the backing plate gaskets would touch also.
Snubber bracket would be all bare stamped steel with some areas of the surface slightly brighter from the stretching and forming process
Same snubber bracket - different application (non-N) so pinion and case details will be different from your car.
