I BC/CC painted this car a few years ago and thought it was pretty close. I think I can find the can for the mix.

The question arises as to why you would want BC/CC instead of "the real thing", Single Stage Acrylic Enamel ?

Availability for one. You can get "20 to life" for smuggling a can of real oil based paint into California. The water based acrylic just doesn't seem to be the same.

True, but we don't know if he's from California ? Which makes me wonder ; why don't the "California people" just take their cars to a nearby State that does allow such "hazardous chemicals" to be painted. Is there a law against that too ?

Funny you should mention that. I used to get "restricted" chemicals from a friend in Oregon, until Oregon went nuts. Several years back a fellow Mustang club member sent his 70 Boss 302 to a shop outside Medford for minor body work and a full paint job. He flew up and drove it back to the SF Bay area. A neighbor with relatives in Idaho routinely gets paint from them (UPS). A Shelby owner I've known for a long time, had his 66 GT350 painted in Utah, plus the body work was also cheaper. When someone went to Stockton, we would tell them to get some real paint. It used to be just the SF Bay Area (plus a few other areas) with restrictions, but now it's the whole state.
