65 coupe: 14 Aug build date, 289, alt, cast WP, AC with York compressor (added at a later date Im guessing) non-thermactor
Im adding factory PS.
When I bought the car it had a 2 groove crank pulley and 1 groove WP pulley. The AC had a 67 clutch. No fixed idler.
I have installed the correct 3 groove crank and 2 groove WP pulleys and a 65/66 AC clutch.
Alt, WP, crank pulleys line up.
I have not installed the PS pump yet, I bought a bracket and it arrived bent.
The AC clutch and crank pulley line up, the adjustable idler does not.
I dont think I have the correct adjustable idler, I see no way to shim the idler out to meet the AC belt. The adjustable idler bracket is also the top alt bracket, so it cant move.
My adjustable idler is C5AA-8A619-B.
I think I need C5ZZ-8678-B.
The fixed idler I bought is C5AA-8A619-D. Its not installed since it goes over the PS bracket, but it looks like it will line up with the AC belt.
Any help on the correct adjustable idler?
When I used spacers to get the adjustable idler to line up with the AC crank and clutch pulley grooves, it rubbed the alt belt, thats why Im thinking i have the wrong adjustable idler.
