Intake Manifold Heater Hose Elbow 351
« on: February 11, 2019, 01:34:43 PM »
Trying to help a local guy out who doesn't know about this site. He is looking for a heater hose elbow for his 69 351W. On the Scott Drake site they list off part number DOAZ-18599-C for a 70-73 351/390. I don't understand that as there was no 390 in a Mustang between 70-73. They also have part number DOAZ-18599-A but listed as 69-73 351 C. Looking at the picture of parts on the Drake site they look the same except the finishes are listed off as Chrome and Zinc. Can anyone shed some light? He wants one that looks authentic. Thanks

Not sure that the finish will be that important to him since it would have been attached to the intake when the engine was painted so all but the last 1" to 1 1/2"  or so (to be covered when the heater hose was installed)  so none of the rest would be visible to a viewer.

Jeff thanks for the photo. The big difference between the available parts appears to be the lengths of the legs. With it being installed and photographed on an angle it is hard for me to make out exactly which one to recommend to him. Then there is the disclaimer that Photograph may not be of the actual part.
