Jeff,

Any good shot of the trunk on the unrestored Oct of 64 fastback?  I looked through the thread on that car and there are a couple of shots of lid but mainly on the driver side.  One barely of the passenger side but you were focused on the latch...

No. Didn't include a picture of the sticker in that thread since it had been replaced by a repo.

Not sure of posting the C5 original decals in this thread since Charles is really focusing on the retainer hardware style. Maybe I need to create another to discuss the originals verses the reproductions

No problem.

Yes the front one appears that it may have been changed though it does look like the correct version for the time period

Some more to add... these are '65 Shelby Venice cars, guess first batch of 100, which I believe puts them in the December time frame.  Note, no jacking instruction decal on any of them.

They don’t have the shipping tie down decal either.

One more data point... 5R186xxx with 13B scheduled date.  Has the slide style hold-down and the C5ZB-A decal.

Guess the task at-hand is to try and narrow down the window of when the decal first started to be used in production.

That's a later car than I have in the 65 San Jose spare hold down running change thread. So will add to and adjust. Your example may have been built a little earlier and my earliest (in my records) loop style a bit later.
