Windshield Heater Duct Fasteners
« on: November 19, 2018, 12:59:03 PM »
It looks like there are three (3) special flat headed plastic type fasteners that hold the windshield heater duct to the body/dash sheet metal, and I have misplaced or lost mine. Can anyone advise if these are reproduced and where to get them?

If you have at least one example I would got the local auto paint supplier or even parts store and compare it to all of the small packages of body trim hardware to find one that matches the diameter and length needed.  Could do the same by using measurements taken or estimated by comparing both parts and the total length needed to hold them together

Here are some examples of what is available There are likely 100's of different types, styles and designes

Might these be them?

Accurate looking but not a Concours Restoration/build. See my build photo gallery at 69GT350 Hertz Build

Yes they are and NPD sells quite good repro sets in the correct finishes.

Thanks for the input guys, sorry Jeff I didn't mean to mislead you, I am not exactly sure what they are made of and just assumed plastic because of the single plastic clip I do have which pins it to the heater box, but could very well be metal as I do not have an original and my pictures do not show a complete fastener only what you see in the pic I attached. the NPD ones could possibly be correct, but I would not know and is why I asked the question. The attached is the best picture I have of the attaching fastener. I have to assume they are metal now as it looks like that's what the majority is saying. Thanks all.

No problem - just working with what I've been given and no longer have a 70 I can go out and check plus didn't want to assume that 69's were the same ;)

Main thing is you getting the correct answers :)
