that ad-block stopped them for me on all sites i visit. my local newspaper was really bad too.
I like "content", not Madison Avenue's concept of what I want. If I'm blocked, I go elsewhere without the garbage to wade thru.

I changed my setting on VMF to classic & much of the BS ads are gone, what now shows up are usually car related at least.
I have been involved in Mustangs & working on cars for over 45 years.
