As I'm installing weatherstrip I see that I don't have black plastic retaining push pin/clip with the Christmas tree type barbs.
The only ones I have in my plastic parts box are the ones used to hold on firewall pads (1/4 inch dia, 1 inch long), possibly aftermarket, but I don't know much more.
I looked at Jim's fastener list and don't see them based on my search criteria.
What's listed come mostly from the Osborn Assembly manuals, and from the 75 MPC filling in "gaps".
I did not find them in the 1969 version of the Autolite standard and utility parts catalog.
Point of info: The Standard Parts Catalog lists only hardware part numbers, 5 or 6 digit, a dash, a "S" with a finish or variation set of numbers. The pins have a Ford engineering part number, C1AB-6220807, and would not be listed.
AMK's website shows the Ford weathertrip pin as part B-13165, and GM as B-10650. Both pictures attached.
2014 catalog, page 159.
The ones I've pulled out of several 67 Mustang doors look like the AMK GM ones, with the Christmas tree type barb arrangement, not the Ford ones.
I think some pictures and basic build info is needed, year, month, plant, model, etc.
(The cars with these GM type pins may have been built by GM - OK, maybe not.)
Jim
PS: I've looked in the 75 MPC and it is severely lacking in door weather strip illustrations. I can find doors in sheet metal, and door hardware in the body sides section (20124-25) but without weather strip.
