Rally Pac repainting
« on: August 01, 2018, 02:20:51 AM »
I am about to restore a 1965 Rally PAC and have a few questions.
My Rally PAC is black and the visor over the tach is mostly black and under the chips of paint is beautiful Chrome.
The visor over the clock is all Chrome ? I'm wondering if they are both to be Chrome or painted ? How were the early ones shipped ? I have heard that some people painted them to eliminate the glare from the Chrome ?
Any help would be great

I've never seen a rally pac with all chrome hoods. the inner ring is left chrome & the outer part is wrinkle like the rest of it.

+1, all crinkle except the inner area.

Have seen owners strip the wrinkle paint from the "eye brows" on 65's Always thought it was a bad idea with all the possibilities of refecting the sun back at the driver and passenger
