I am not sure what a front bumper bar might be? I have never heard of that description. You have a front chrome bumper. The front bumper has no reason to to have a bar designation in its description. The front sway bar is the only part with a bar in it's description...

In some circles or locations in this world, the "bumper" (front or rear) can also be reffered to as a BAR. e.g. "Face Bar" -or- "Rear Bar"...It's more along the lines of a person calling your Coca Cola "pop" or "soda" than a person making an error. I am curious where the O.P. hails from. This use of the term for a bumper as a "bar" is found also in many US printed parts catalogs, crash books (for estimating) and the inter-web (also known to some as the Internet). ;)

I'm going to go out on a limb here again and say in an asking manner that someone can clarify, that the 1969 Shelby front bumper was unique for 1969 only (and on re-vin'ed 70 Shelby's)? Is the part number stamped on it anyplace? I do not see one on mine but it has been repaired and re-chromed.
Yes the 69/70 Shelby bumper is unique to Shelby and to 69/70 only. As mentioned before there is no identification or date markings . The service
69/70 Shelby bumpers and the assemblyine bumpers only varied in the way they had black painted on the bumper brace so that the chrome of the bracket wouldn't show when installed. That may have been a A O Smith added detail. The service bumpers were typically all chrome.

I’m also in Australia and as you can see I have called the front bumper a front bumper bar so after reading the posts on this forum I now know this is not the correct name.
Thanks aussiercode for your contribution as I am also concerned that the front bumper I have is a repro.
Mine is not stamped so it could well be an OEM genuine bumper.
Any other information is gratefully appreciated.

"Two (other) countries separated by a common language." - George Bernard Shaw. We're learning each others word quirks. You guys (blokes) are as well. In this case, there are two parts called a "bar" - the "sway bar", the "radiator grill lower bar". Now there are three.
My suggestion is to put another shrimp on the barby, and toss a cool one down.

Not according to the TV advertising here in the USA. The term is usually a reference to size, shrimp are smaller. We call the large ones (wait for it) - "jumbo shrimp". Others call them lobster. They all taste good.
Sorry for getting of topic.
"Off topic" adds some humor to an otherwise dull and dreary forum -  ;)
