'66 factory fog light circuit breaker/relay
« on: May 21, 2018, 07:03:18 PM »
My  '66 factory installed fog lights stopped working for no apparent reason.... Is the metal, 2 post relay installed at the factory the only protection(if it is protection), or is there an actual fuse in the wiring to the fog lights?...if so where?  If this is the protection, exactly how does it work?....looks like more of just a relay to allow the "hot" wire to transfer power to the other wire on the relay when the switch is on.

Thanks......

Do you have a copy of the 66 Mustang Electrical Assembly Manual?
The only circuit protection is the circuit breaker. A 12V trouble lamp will light up on both studs of the CB to ground. That's the starting point.

Got everything working.....too embarrassed to tell you what it was...(had disconnected the connection on the engine side of the firewall and forgot to reconnect it)  Good thing...that breaker is not easy to reach, let alone replace.

Thanks again...
