Generator Belt Source
« on: May 11, 2018, 05:31:11 AM »
I do not seem to be able to find a source for a Generator Belt for a 260 engine. Looking for one with "OE" stamping.
Thanks.
Phil

Guess you'l be looking for a good used or NOS version if your looking for one with the engineering numbers into the belt itself like originals

Guess might start with a wanted here and where ever the Falcon owners hang out.

Knowing the identification numbers will go a long way since some with only have the belt with no original tags or sleeves for the part number to be found

Good luck

I would like to know the engineering numbers and where you find one as well (for my June built 64 1/2). I was only lucky enough to find a Gates replacement locally.  :)

I have searched Marti's site under 1964 Mustang and it only lists the 240 I6 and a 352 V8 (even though I picked Mustang).  I switched to 1965 Mustang and it only shows a match for an alternator belt?

You have to call Marti's directly and just ask about it. They'll have the numbers in their books to reference. I ran into this same issue with the smog pump to A/C compressor and he (believe his name is Eric?) custom made and printed the correct numbers on them. I ordered two so I would have an extra one.
