Do we know when the change over from louvers to no louvers happened at San Jose?

Not exactly since we don't know the exact date most of the cars were completed on.

Sure we can figure out approximately. Maybe a month or an approximate VIN give or take 10,000-5,000 numbers

I would be interested in opinions if my car should or shouldn't have louvers.  My radiator support was replaced back in the early '80s (battery tray rust out).  My recollection is that it was louvered, but now I'm not so sure as it's been awhile since the '80s.

Can't really tell from this pic but this is from 5R09A137XXX.  Scheduled build date 11J.  I don't think it had the 64.5 radiator support

Guess that is more important to you, if a particular car did or did not, and makes the question easier to answer

Unless your car was finished way outside its projected/guess upon date (and your sheet Metal dates would confirm either way) then I would say that all indications and data I have shows that your car would have had the non-louvered radiator support

Chris, sorry, but like you said, it's hard to tell in that picture, so it doesn't convince me.

The important thing (at least I hope) is that we got you an answer and a pictures in this case to address your question/concern
