69 NJ Sportroof questions

My 1969 May built Metuchen sports roof came to my home in boxes. I'm getting closer to finishing the car up and have a few questions....so here goes:
1. Did all 1969 Mustangs come with a day/night mirror?
2. How was the emblem on the shaker attached was it an adhesive or mounted with fasteners?
3. If mounting the emblem was with adhesives was there a template used? 
Probably have more questions as we put the car back together.

So are you adding a shaker to a Q code car?
It's a late build so if it was a real R code it would have had just have the cobra jet script on the scoop and not a 428 badge too.
The script is too long and skinny for fasteners so it's adhesive backed.

I don't know if there's a template, but interweb pics sure do show inconsistency in placement.

Ford may have designed a template for the workers (never heard or seen one) but if they did its likely IMHO the worker quickly just did it by sight and habit

I used 3m adhesive tape, works great. I centered the scripts to hide the the left from removing the 428 emblems, a little trial and error and redos to get it looking good.

I hope this will help, I took these measurements 30 years ago off my original untouched factory shaker. I wanted to paint it at the time and decided to remove the badges to do that, as I had several NOS sets of Cobra Jet badges and wanted to make sure the new ones went back on in the correct location. Believe it or not this piece of paper has been stuck to the side of my toolbox for that long, goes to show how well sticky notes actually hold on. And FYI these measurements are off a Sept 69 Dearborn built 1970 Mach1.
