HEH-BX transmission and Bellhousing
« on: March 17, 2018, 04:38:42 PM »
Gents,
I'm trying to determine if my bellhousing would have had a finish/paint on the outside or if it was bare aluminum.  Can you assist?

Thank you,

Evan

no paint on housing. it was bare aluminum. don't blast it. will ruin the finish.

Just dropped this in another thread. Bare aluminum with an OK written on it, not always in the same place http://www.concoursmustang.com/forum/index.php?topic=8517.0

The photo that Jeff attached from the Hipo site was from my 65 Hipo block. I actually have 2 such engines, and they both beat the same HP marks and orarange paint daubs. The same orange paint was also visible on both cranks and main caps as well as the flywheel.
