69 Mach 1 Rear Backing Plates
« on: August 27, 2010, 10:20:24 AM »
During the disassembly and cleaning of the backing plates from my rear differentail on my  January, Dearborn built 69 Mach 1 I noticed a V shaped white mark near the adjustment rubber plug. Does anyone have a photo for reference of this mark and are the marks on both sides or just one? I cannot detect the white mark on the other backing plate.

I've often found (one that size backing plate and year) two thin stripes/hash marks  near the adjustment opening (both open and with the knock out still in place) so I would see no problem replacing the mark on both sides based on the other original examples from the same period and application
