What is not apparent is the threads and lengths of those two screws (those pictures are only worth "500" words). The brake handle has a pair of captive nuts which should be 5/16-24 threads (the specified bolt is 50831-S, 5/16-24X3/4 Pan Head) and the service replacements are the same threads. The heads and lock washers in the pictures are similar to seat to track hardware, but that hardware is 5/16-18 threads. (In 1967, the brake handle attaching hardware was changed to 379949-S2, 5/16-18X1.0 Pan.) A quick "look-see" revealed no Mustang hardware with that head style in 5/16-18 threads.
