Back glass transition panel to trunk question/help

My car is about to be sprayed and I want to verify how the lower panel that runs along the bottom of the back glass and the trunk deck are welded. I welded the quarters on and the transition panel didn't need replaced; however, I had to remove the welds to get the quarters off. I have been working on the car over the last couple of years and if I recall there were four copper globs about the size of a dime for lack of a better term. Then there should be sealer in the gap. Is that correct? I tried to duplicate the copper with weld and not real sure how smooth it should be? Dearborn Jan 1969 car. If someone could post a good close up that would be appreciated. Every pic I find is hard to tell. Thanks in advance for any help.

Where the panels were tacked together on the exterior that weld was smoothed out, primered twice so should not stand up typically from the surrounding metal panels 

"bump/lump" or material is often visible in the forward corners of the trunk opening

Not perfect but some examples

I would think that the panel and quarter panel where spot welded on the flange and I think the reason for brazing on the corners was to stop any cracking from vibration. Like drilling a hole in plastic to stop a crack, only in reverse. That is what I have found in the body work I have done.

Common thought for a long time is that the panels were brazed together (some panels/joints) so that the workers wheeling the heavy spot welders only had to worry about welding and not aligning the panels with one another.  Some of the brazed joints are not located on exterior, visible seams so not sure if the stop crack idea holds water though it would surely help a bit. Flexible sealant did often crack anyway over time
