1965 autolite 4100 4V fuel filter inlet vs. 1966
« on: June 24, 2017, 10:39:13 AM »
Since the '65 had a fuel line with a flare fitting attachment to the fuel inlet, if you try to install the '66 type screw in fuel filter, it bottoms out against the carb flare before it goes all the way in and seals.  Was there a fitting to go into the carb first to accept the screw in type filter?

The '65 Mustangs had fuel pumps with the removable canister and the filter inside.  The fuel line from pump to carburetor was all hard line.  I do not recall a fitting on the carburetor - the line attached directly to the carburetor.
