Carryover 65/66 Mustangs here?
« on: August 08, 2010, 01:46:40 PM »
Hi guys

Are there many cars that where carryovers?
My girlfriends 66 Notchback 6 cylinder Metuchen build
has as strange as it seems the inner wheelhouse from a
65 Mustang without the dent for the spare tyres.
Is that common or how many cars did they produce
with a mix of parts?

Thanks Jerry

Bent wheelhouses were seen in both 64.5, 65, and 66.  Some time ago, I asked folks to pony up information on factory, body style, engine size, and whether bent wheelhouse or not.  There was no correlation to any variable.  Don't assume that only 65's had the bent wheelhouses.

Ok thanks. And what about fully zinc plated frames and rockers?
On that Notchback they are as far as i can see fully zinc coated.
Pretty cool because i need to weld them but no rust at all and when
i removed the paint (behind the bumper bracket front frames) i could see
the zinc on the frames. That is not very common i guess??

Thanks Jerry
