Been going through original fasteners and comparing observed finishes with those in the chassis assembly manual and finding some variations. In this case the assembly manual calls for S8 (zinc) finish on the master cylinder mounting bolts. What I'm seeing looks more like dark gray phosphate, maybe even towards an olive tone, but certainly not bright zinc. Car is Jun 64 K code, with the original dated master cylinder.
Is this what we typically see for a car of this period?
