67 with Tilt Column wiring sleeve
« on: April 22, 2017, 09:33:03 AM »
Looking for an ideas on what to use on a 67 Mustang w/Tilt-away column to sleeve over the Turn signal harness wiring coming out the lower port of the steering column. It seems there was something there before but now I have nothing.

The tilt column had its own unique wire cover. It is much like the non tilt column cover but a bit shorter. I see if I can get some photos.

I should have something also.  From a color and texture perspective I think heat shrink tubing (without shrinkage) would be a decent substitute

+1

That is where I would start. Might compare a few different suppliers since the thickness may vary between them but other than a slight thickness difference and a less smooth or slightly glossy finish I thing it would work for you and would be the first place I would start

I've used this harness sleeving for other purposes.  I think the semigloss tubing would be a good match if it is big enough.  Kurt

Thanks Kurt, looks good

OK, need input from somebody with an original...Sizes available that might match, 9/16", 5/8" or 3/4" (I.D.), available by the foot, up to 20-foot lengths  :o
