change of the rear upper stop from the passenger window
« on: April 27, 2017, 07:34:54 AM »
Hi folks,
just changed the window regulator on the passenger side and i recognized that the upper rear stop of the window isn't working properly. I can turn and turn the screw, but it won't get tight. Does anyone where to get the stop and know how to change it?
Normally it would be easy just to turn a bigger screw into the stop, but i am also unable to get the old one out.

Use some sort of a prying tool to apply pressure on the piece towards you as you try and remove the screw.

You will have to find a original stop as they are not reproduced. It is a really tough job to change with the window installed. You have to reach around the rear guide track. BTW there are LH and RH stops.

Ok, thanks a lot, i will do. my best.  ;)
Btw is it hard to remove the window?

If i could get the screw out, i could just make a new thread with a new screw in it.

IMHO installing and adjusting the windows is one of the most challenging jobs on a Mustang.
