65 Tinted and Banded Windshield
« on: July 22, 2010, 11:02:34 PM »
I just wanted to double check here before I shell out the money for a complete set of original green tinted glass for my 65 fastback. My question is with the dark band on the tinted windshield, should it be blue, smoked, or dark green. One supplier has the blue banded windshield and assures me that is what the original glass came with.
Any input would be helpful,
Thanks,

Ford only used Dark Green tinted bands on original windshields.  The blue and smoked are later aftermarket brands. The blue came out in the early 70's and the smoked in the early 90's I believe.
