Thats some good marketing. These pictures compared to the Auction pictures makes it look like another car found on eBay. That muffler looks like something that should be attached to my furnace. It has that perfect Uhaul Galvanized look. My new muffler leans like that. I always thought there was something wrong with it. Was that to allow for drainage? I don't recall seeing any drain holes.

That looks like the replacement Ford muffler, which was shorter than OEM and included 2 short pipe extensions.

There is no drain in the muffler.  I don't think they were cocked over at an angle much when original.  There are very few 65-66 cars that have original rear mufflers on them these days, they are extremely rare to find NOS.

To: ChrisV289, What was your opinion of the paint, glass, sheet metal and top?  Did those seem like original and appropriate to a 14,000 mile, 50+ year old car or was the description exaggerated on those areas too?

The paint seemed ok.  I really did not see any flaws that stood out.  I did not check out the date codes on the glass and I didn't look at the top all that much to give an opinion.

Having seen this BJ car in person I can advise that  the "originality" claim was liberal. 50 year old original cars when compared to a restored version, even to the untrained eye appear dull and worn. This is no secret. If you could have the Perkins car and the Florida Hipo seen here with similar mileage alongside the BJ car the differences would jump out.

Having seen all three the BJ car looked to be an older, maybe mid eighties partial restoration the utilized new and old materials which would have been more plentiful during that time period to bring this car back to it's current condition.
