- Two colors (from two feed sources) of muddy red oxide. One from the firewall (approximately) forward and one from firewall rearward.
This is before any sealers applied to the floor or trunk drops.
- Sound deadener applied to the rear wheelwells and on to some the panels next too and near to the wheel wells after primer applied.
- Overspray onto the floor and panels (front frame rails, convertible seat support panel for example) from the painting of the rocker panels. Pinch weld formed a shadow for the first inch or two on the floor. Overspray could be inward a foot foot (fairly direct application_ up to the of the driveline tunnel. This mist (overspray not direct application) and its visibility has allot to do with the exterior color
- Large amounts of exterior paint overspray into the floor area between the rear wheelwells since they received (over the sound deadener) a full paint job on to them and the exposed frame areas when the quarter panels and wheel lip were painted. Wheel lid formed a shadow at the top of up to four inches to only one or two inches at the front and rear of the arch
- Over this overspray on the floor and on to the rear frame rail but to a lesser amount and distance most of the time was the black out of the pinch weld. Blow outs at the front and rear edges of the rear wheel well opening are normally found Pinch weld was blacked out from the forward edge at the front wheel well to the rear most end
Front sound deadener was applied after the car was pretty much completely assembled except for the front wheels and tires
