Topic: Is my trunk lid toast?

Evidence is the back end of my '65 Fastback has been hit as the tail panel is flat inside and bondo-sculptured outside.  The trunk lid looks to have minor damage.

The inner trunk lid frame has a gap in the center from the trunk lid skin.  Does this mean my trunk lid is now more curved and will not fit right once I straighten out the tail panel?

I'ld find a new lid and then replace the taillight panel.  IMHO more work that its worth

Remember to save at least the dates from the original (if it is an original)
