I'm looking for the correct 66 fastback fold down seat latch cover, the one with the smaller latch hole and the correct orange peel pattern, not the repro "leather" looking pattern.

Got this one here.  Looks about the same as my OE 65.  The radius or sweep, 2 nd picture, is longer than the 65 and has no texture at all.  Look like your part ?  Brian

Unfortunately not, that's a 65, 66 has a smaller hole in the front, more like this...

That cover was used on early 66 Fastbacks, without the bumper. I think the date was February 1st when the design went back to the 65 style.

Hey Phil, it's me Jason Hildebrand who just bought the fuel filter off you, not scared by the shipping if the part is correct, but yes that looks right, I'm just doing a quick confirmation on it. Going to depend on when and where your car was built as to what version it got.

Might want to start a thread in the 65-66 section to dig a little more and share the findings

item in my post came from a November 65 SJ fastback and I have found this example to be the same for a January 66 NJ fastback and a also for January -- March 66 Dearborn examples as well.

Now a days I catalogue used parts I get with Vin Numbers and assembly plants cause Jeff is very particular and specific at times

I'm all set, we came to the conclusion after looking at Phill's example that mine is indeed original, we were just thrown by the orange peel patterning on it being so different from the 65 versions, but it was on the car when I received it and just thought it had been replaced at some point for some reason...
