428 CJ pistons .020

Having problems locating CJ pistons that are .020 over. The only ones I could find are from Keith Black. Not sure if anyone has .020 that they might have laying around and want to sell.

Also waiting to hear back from Barry.

You can have custom pistons made. They will cost you a pretty penny.

Arias, Wiseco, JEpistons, Ross and Diamond are a few of the manufacturers out there.

Just one problem......I don't have any pretty pennies. That's why I'd am not going that route.

The cheapest choice is Speedpro/TRW. They are STD/.030, .040 and .060. You're looking at about 400.00 if you shop for them.

I would not want to go 30 over if I could stay at 20 over . The extra cost of pistons will not compensate for the disappointment of over heating like some 30 over 428 engines experience. It is not worth the risk IMO. Don't be penny wise and pound foolish. Randy Gillis (  gt350hr ) on the SAAC forum works for JE  I believe. One of the big piston companies anyway. Contact him and see what he thinks and his advice . A very helpful person and he is my Ford engine go to guru .

In order to not break the bank....and after talking to FE specialist Barry .....I'm going to go with Keith Black. Unless someone in the next few days says they have .020 pistons they can't use.
