Master Cylinder Difference?
« on: September 11, 2016, 02:05:17 AM »
I have two original master cylinders in my possession and trying to determine what the difference is between the two.  On the bottom one says 1.00 DIA R-3, with a date code of 21765 on the bottom and 5B24 on the side.  The other has 1.00 DIA R-14, with 92265 on the bottom with a the date code on the side being 5K6.  The brass fitting on the R-14 was a little bigger than the other but both can be interchanged.  Is there a difference between the two master cylinders?

Any thoughts? Is there a difference between R-3 and R-14?

Sounds like they are identical.  Could be some very minor difference or just a matter of the R number having to do with the casting form ID.
