Topic: 1967 GT500 Dip Stick Ford Part Number?

[1967 eight barrel]

I have a Cobra Aluminum T-sump Cobra pan. It is listed as a 6.5 quart capacity. When there is 7 quarts in the pan it registers right at the Add line. I have the dip stick that was in the vehicle when purchase in 1982 and I wanted to confirm the number stamped as correct for application.  It is stamped: C7AE-6750-A. I do have the factory Ford windage tray, which I haven't heard of anyone having interference issues with.
 I remember reading that there was a TSB that required the change of the dip stick which changed the indicator marks for the added oil capacity. ( 6 quarts)
I thought that would make sense under the circumstances.

I have read that TSB also. I checked the library for the TSB and did a quick search to no avail. That seems odd I cannot find it either.

The stock 67 GT500 dipstick in #1183 is marked C7OE and FoMoCo.

Richard : Before I do any more digging through my TSB's, the attached isn't the one you were thinking of , is it ? It doesn't cover the 6.5 qt oil pan.

In looking through the "Monthly TSB Indices, I did find one other, although dated September 27, 1968. This is probably the one Richard was remembering.

I did not logg it into my memory as "needed to know" but I understand it was for the 6 or 7 quart engines, like the OP's request.

Here is the OE dipstick. I had it replated. I have replaced the original tube with a Scott Drake tube.

The only difference between the C7AZ and C7OZ is the chrome handle.
