Yeah they are routed wrong.  There's nothing wrong w/ having the steel tubing there btwn the fan and spacer as long as it's functioning properly.  Since you have to disconnect the hoses you might as well check the condition of the heater core.  It's not too labor intensive.

Googled for the strap and found 2 places that advertise it.
One is CJPony Parts and another one is California Pony Cars. They both look the same.
They don't look like the one shown by you Jeff, so not sure they are correct.
If people did it from old tires, which size/width are they supposed to be..? And, if done, would be concours correct?

Ok, but even that, the tubing is not connected to the right place, it has to be connected to the upper side of the water pump, now is on the lower side. Yes, have to re-arrange all that stuff and check the core as you suggest, Thanks.

AMK Products has some straps that would work on page 175.  Though advertised as a/c and p/s hose straps it's the same principle.

Matt those will work but they won't IMHO look close to what was originally used for either the PS 67-8 application or the 65-66 application. The pictures look to be what we see wrapped around the whole export brace or separate shock tower supports on some 68-70 rather than the hang down straps

Better than nothing?  Yes

Don't know if I've seen one of these in person nor how close they are but here is a possibility (I have no connection with the party selling the part)

California Pony Cars is listed on the label

Thank info MattDoscher,

Jeff, Yes, this is what I have seen and posted before.
Any possibility to know the length and width of the stripe..? Could be 1' long by 1" width.!
Maybe I can try to do one by myself..!

Josep

PS: well, I have done one by myself and just wanted to have your opinion.! Thanks.
