Topic: WTB Original 65 Master Cylinder

Looking for a single reservoir master cylinder for a 65 Mustang with drum brakes.  If possible, looking for a date code around September/October of 64.  Must be able to be rebuilt.

Where is the date code located on the cylinder?

Should be on the left side if you are looking at an installed master cylinder in the engine compartment. So the side facing the engine itself.

I checked the three drum brake masters (two 64.5 and one 65/66).  I could find only the one pictured with a date. I believe this one shows June 64.  Correct me if I'm wrong.  The other 64.5 and the 65/66 had nothing stamped on the engine side of the bowl.  Would it be stamped anywhere else?

That's a June 64 date code.  I don't believe it is stamped anywhere else.  What numbers are on the bottom of that one?

The date on the bottom of the bowl on the engine side is 52064 on the one pictured above.  The date on the 65 is 323 which makes no sense to me.  The third mc which I thought was a 64.5 is a Wagner Lockheed but the brake light switch boss is below the outlet port pointed downward and forward.  That has a 12 on the bowl bottom.

Pretty sure I have an NOS one, will look for it and check back.
