Firewall Grommet Question

Is there a grommet that goes in this location? The body plug kit I purchased doesn't have one.

Believe there was just a lump of dum-dum shoved in it and flattened some what to seal it off

Here are two original examples - the dum-dum/sealant can be hard to make out

Sort of related ?  I broke the grommet/plug that goes in the hole in the firewall/cowl just above the export brace.  How do I identify or get a replacement ?  The seat floor plugs are to big.  Thanks,  Brian

That is approximately a 1-1/4 inch hole from my measurement. Body plugs in that size are available individually.   ;)

Yes thank you Scott.  I guess your packing up my, part # 27544, body plugs about now ?  Do you think you could do a test fit ?  Thanks,  Brian

You want 377936-S. It's for a 1 1/4 inch hole.

Thank you Jim for the part number.  I suppose if I had looked in the ' library ' it would be there ?  Some time back we had this discussion but I was unable to SEARCH it out.  Brian

It's there, "sort" of - and I mean that as pun and function. If you down load either 69-70 spreadsheet from the Forum's Library, you can "sort" it by DESCRIPTION and isolate "Plug,Rubber". Looking at the Size/Description will give you the hole size and part number. I could not find any Ford documentation to verify the plugs sizes so I measured the plugs. The irony is that plug is used on the cowl above the firewall in the center.
