These strips were riveted down (9 rivets used each side) within the drip rail on factory installed vinyl roof cars. The strip runs the full length of the drip rails.
Any leads would be great. These might need to be from a "dry climate" area so if you are scouting for parts, please keep me in mind.

They can be carefully coiled for shipping purposes

Hmm...Is this on your 68? If so, I doubt  you have 9 rivet holes each side in the drip rail, like the 67-down.

It seems I spoke to soon, the information I have for this is for a 67 cougar clearly a little different.

One of the yards I go to has a 66 coupe with a vinyl top, the car is very rusty from living

NOTICE THE ENGINEERING NUMBERS [and change-over dates] THAT ARE CITED
*possible there is a "typo error" on WCCC site citing "C5ZB-6353728-A" This would not seem like it could be a viable engineering number IMHO. I believe the correction might be a "5" instead of a "3". (body code "65" part of a Mustang engineering numbering system)

Many of the listings with part numbers on our catalog are from before Scott.

Cougars have longer roof lines so those retainers would be longer than for a Mustang.

Kind of what I thought too (Cougar is longer) but I would almost have to wonder if these vinyl top strips were potentially used on various carlines, possibly cut to fit?

Looked to me that the number I referenced at the WCCC site didn't follow the decipher guideline for Ford parts since a Fastback likely didn't ever need a vinyl roof. (it was "cool" enough without it )
