Well liner springs
« on: April 09, 2016, 06:50:02 AM »
I am wondering if everyone has some photos or information on the Well liner springs for 66 Convertible, the car was built in Oct 65.  As I have read some conflicting information within some part cataloges.

Thanks in advance

What do you need to know? I have a 1966 convertible, October build. My original left spring broke and I bought a new one and it matched my right spring perfectly. I guess in 50+ years the right one could have been replaced at some point in time before I bought the car.

They sell both Short springs and Long springs.  The short springs came first (early) and them the long springs came later.

My springs are 7" long. It is a low miles, unrestored car. I am the third owner. I just replaced the left side and it matches the right side, but like I said earlier, that right side could have been replaced sometime in the past. The springs do fit nicely into a groove in the trunk hinge support.

Here is a picture of the spring on a December 66 unrestored convertible . They are the same as on my June 65 car.
