Original 65 console
« on: March 25, 2016, 10:25:15 PM »
My earlier post on this topic is below with pictures of my 65 console. I didn't really get an answer to this previously and wanted to know if the only original console from Ford were those marked FoMoCo. Mine is marked FoMoCo on the top side of the console just a bit in front of the cutout for the rear ash tray. I have other consoles that look to be original (have original wire harnesses attached with original part number tags) but without the FoMoCo marking.

Original consoles that I have removed from my cars of the years both 65 and 66 models have all had the FOMOCO stamping on the top side.

Though I have seen many a console at swap meets that don't have any form of marking on the top side.

Phill, thanks for the feedback. If what you say is correct, there are a ton of "original" consoles out there (about everyone I've ever seen on eBay) that are just reproductions. I've not seen another console on eBay or elsewhere that was marked FoMoCo (and I imagine the sellers would be calling this out if they were marked), think they are scarce.
