Air Conditioning Compressor Tag
« on: March 03, 2016, 10:20:31 AM »
I am working on a 1966 mustang 289 V8. Need to put the aluminum 5 sided tag on the compressor. I believe this mounts under the bolt that holds the brace going to the intake manifold. Is that correct? Also does it go above or below the brace. Thanks.

Jeff has posted pictures of what you're wondering about. Illustrates it perfectly. Tag on top of the compressor, brush wire clip next, then the brace. Clocking of the tag (as you're looking at it from the front of your car) has tended to vary, from what I've seen. I have ours clocked with the bottom of the tag at the 3 o'clock position, so you can read it from the drivers side of the car. Just my choice here...

Is the mounting of the compressor tag the same as pictured above on an 11/64 San Jose coupe A code? If so, I may need to change mine...

Response #23 shows a 65 San Jose car from Feb 65. Closest picture/car I have to your car's time period
