Topic: 69 Shelby rear leaf springs color code

I am re-doing my leaf springs and I cant find a color band anywhere.  I did a search on this and all that I could find was ED saying that 69-70 Shelbys  had a unique white mark toward the front of the main spring.

Its a 69 GT 350 build on 25 April 69.

Have not found any markings on the rear leaf springs of a 69 Shelby yet  though I have seen a couple of pictures others have shared. The clearest appears to be located on the forward turn of the front eyelet and would appear not to be very visible on an assembled car. Since these springs were assembled by different people than the regular production Mustang and earlier Shelbys - from the picture- its difficult to tell what method of application was used to apply the color code was applied

Also I found only 2 of the plastic insulators per spring,  both sides were the same, only 2 insulators per spring.  I cleaned mine up and put a little grease on them.

White spray paint marking at front spring eyelet is what is typical. It is not a lot.

Since my car is white, that should be easy...
