Missing Confidential VIN Stampings
« on: January 23, 2016, 02:13:31 AM »
This early San Jose '67 fastback had both front inner fender panels replaced years ago, but it has no VIN numbers stamped in the typical location on either rear fender panel, which appear to be original to the car.
 Has anyone seen this before?

I have not seen the VIN stamped on the rear aprons on 67-67 cars That was more typical of 65-66 cars.

+1.  Also I agree with your assessment that the rear metal and welds look to be original.

+1  Behind/reward of the shock towers on 67 isn't the "typical" location at any of the plants
