Firewall spray sealer - Dearborn
« on: December 21, 2015, 09:17:41 AM »
A clarification on the use of the black spray firewall sealer: Was this spray sealer used at the start of production in March 1964 or was it added at a later date because of customer complaints of water and fumes entering into the passenger compartment? Thanks!

5F08F100001 had sealer on the firewall, have not heard of it not being used, just varying "degrees" of use during production and at different plants.

Different products were used at different plants. The look, amount and areas sprayed can differ.

Ford referred to it in 65 as an adhesive
