Believe the correct answer is cad for the bolts and intergrated washers

+1  Some of the over-the-counter kits might have had chrome bolts/washers.  Only seen cadmium on factory setups.

I bought the kit from AMK, they are cad with integrated washers and correct markings. I am very pleased with them.

For reference, some pics of the AMK bolts:

Cad finish, B in a circle on the head, split lock washer.  The washer has serrations around the very edge.

Can anyone confirm the head marking above (B in a circle) would be correct for an Oct 9, 1964 San Jose K code?

Head mark seems similar the one shown in this thread from Jeff (reply #1) for a regular 289, although looks like several circles around the B.  The owners cars is also an Oct 64 San Jose, but non-hipo, 289.

Yes, the B would be ok.  I have seen originals a little different insignia.  Also seen 'E' on later cars, like '66-up.

I thought the serrations were not correct on valve cover bolts?  Aren't those for the oil pan?
