Tail light Lens - NOS or Re-pop
« on: December 11, 2022, 01:44:35 PM »
Is there any way to tell NOS for reproductions?
Theses have FOMOCO and SAE markings correct
Also found MAP marked on the inside the lens on the outer edge.

Have seen MAP on reproductions of other parts. Right now can't recall what company that is and don't have any original taillight lenses to check and confirm that is a give away as to their origin

I believe that was Midland Automotive Products from Alabama. Seem to remember their ads in Mustang Monthly years ago.

I don't think it is much of a problem unless you paid NOS Ford prices vs repro prices for them . Once mounted they will look identical.
