67 dashboard support rod
« on: August 29, 2015, 07:56:50 PM »
Just to the right side of the radio, there is a support rod between the bottom of the dashboard and the instrument panel.  Is it supposed to fit perfect or is there a spacer on one end or the other?

I don't recall ever seeing a spacer there.

You could check the factory drawings to see if there are ones shown there - not that the drawing in itself would be 100% proof its a shot.

What kind of "spacer" did you find or are you just coming up short ?

About 1/4" short....perhaps there is supposed to be a captured nut that is missing....that's about how much short the rod comes up...sounds good any way.
