Topic: Just more numbers in 66 coupe

Hi there,

Just guessing if these door numbers means anything.
Also, my exhaust manifold shows C3DE-9430-A date 6E23. Date is May 23rd 66, but looks like the part was from a Falcon from 63 (!)

the door striker # is the date code. the casting #'s on the manifold indicate that it was engineered for the falcon line but carries thru to the mustang. when ford designed the mustang they used a lot of preexisting mechanical parts. no reason to reengineer something they already had.

While the castings numbers shown in your first photo of the exhaust manifold is the engineering number (as already pointed out), the numbers shown in your second manifold photo are it's date code (May 23, '66).
