Choke tube - 1969 428
« on: February 14, 2015, 01:22:17 PM »
Looking for any original extra choke tube that anyone wants to sell.  Im willing to pay whatever I need to get my hands on one of these so I dont have to make one.  This would be the correct choke tube that was used from February 1969 to end of production 1969 and has the steel tubing with the brazed in "T" adapter.  The T adapter was there to connect to the base of the air cleaner where they had choke bleeder temperature control valve.

Pictures of what I am looking for here and you can see the T adapter:

I know JD.  I can give him a call, but this is not one of those easy to find pieces that you typically find just sitting on someone's shelf.  Its a really hard piece to find.

Yes this is a 69 only part....but I am hoping someone with either a 1969 or 1970 Mustang has this and doesnt realize what they have.  But correct only for 1969 Mustang from February 1969 to end of production 1969.

I have heard from others besides Ed that the tubes companies now offer it . Maybe not in their catalogs so some human interaction may be in order. The right stuff was one of the Companies I had been told did them and have been procrastinating to call so keep us updated. I need 2 tubes done.

Sounds good.  I will call tomorrow and let everyone know.  Saves me alot of effort if someone has already made these.
