OK Charles and Twilight,
I think I understand.
1) My oval holes need rubber plugs.
2) I need to drill the triangular brace and spot weld the threaded seatbelt mount plate on the back of it.
3) I ASSUME that correctly adding rear seatbelts to one that didn't have them isn't a prob. in concours??
Oh...the red oxide rattle can primer you see in the pictures was just done a few weeks before I bought the car back from Ronnie, whom I sold it to 30 years ago. (He had no idea I was gonna pop up from hundreds of miles away, wanting my old car back) He had taken the interior out, cleaned the cracked seam sealer off all floorpan joints, recaulked, and primed the floor with Rustoleum. I don't know why he got crazy and got up on the sides. I can tell he did a good job with his joint treatments. I'm gonna leave it like this until I do my concours restoration in a couple of years. We're gonna drive the snot out of it like it is until then. While I'm putting back all that Ronny took apart though, I want to do what I DO, correctly so I'm not causing myself work in 2 years.
